Humpty Dumpty July 6, 2011

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall,
and all the kings horses and all the kings men,
couldn’t put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

Now, in modern times, this has become less true, since
there are ways and methods to cure most maladies,
and reinvent the wheel, even when it’s broken.
So, take heed, misery doesn’t have to be your permanent companion
when all does not go well.

I tell you, I just discovered the wonders of Android and boy am I a happy camper, like a kid in a candystore. I know there’s so much to be learned and I revel in the joys of discovery with this new toy. I am just a newbie, so don’t call me an expert of any sort. Being on a tight budget, I went with the Huawei and I’m thrilled! Here’s a review of it.

Of course, there are countless other phones that are useful and fun and market tested and loved. It’s just that this is a new thing for me, so that’s why I’m so excited!

Talking about Two Lovers March 17, 2009

I recently saw the brilliant film "Two Lovers" after some curiosity about Joaquin Phoenix’s recent behavior portrayed on tv

and the internet. I am a big Joaquin Phoenix fan. I loved him in "Walk the Line" and was so impressed with his Johnny Cash character portrayal.

I never realized how serious he was about music but I think that anything Joaquin choses to do he will do passionately. And I will be watching him!

Go see "Two Lovers" is all I can say now. Another top-notch performance from one sexy actor, Mr. Joaquin Phoenix~

Talking about Two Lovers

Following a suicide attempt, a troubled young man moves back into his parents’ Brooklyn apartment and two women enter his life — a beautiful but volatile neighbor trapped in a toxic affair and the lovely daughter of his father’s new business partner.

Top 10 at Toronto International Film Festival September 18, 2008

I did not attend the Toronto International Film Festival but one of Texas’ best directors, Richard Linklater was there promoting his new movie, "Me and Orson Welles." The film stars Zac Efron and Claire Daines along with Christian McKay. From all the reviews I’ve read it sounds like a movie to look forward to. I don’t know when we will be seeing it in theatres here in America, but I’d say any movie of Richard Linklater’s is worth the wait!

Synopsis: New York, November, 1937: Seventeen-year-old RICHARD SAMUELS spends his days dreaming of the bright lights of Broadway. After meeting GRETTA, a fellow aspiring creative, at a music store, Richard happens upon ORSON WELLES and his fledgling Mercury Theatre company. Richard impresses Welles with an impromptu audition and lands an unpaid bit-part in the Mercury’s forthcoming run of Julies Caesar. He is taught the ropes by a beautiful, ambitious production assistant, SONJA. Richard quickly falls for Sonja.

Obama Chooses Biden as Running Mate – NYTimes.com August 23, 2008

It’s now official. Obama has chosen his VP candidate.

I think chosing a white guy will help him when running against McCain.

There are still those folks who have their issues with skin color. And even though Hillary was

a contender, she was still a woman. Hey, these aren’t my views. But I’ve heard people

talk. So, give the people what they want. After all, it will be the people who

decide the next President with their votes.
